NLRP3 and polycystic ovary syndrome: Our results show a significant increase (p < 0.05) in the protein levels of NLRP3 (Figure 2A), ASC (Figure 2B), procaspase-1 (Figure 2C) and caspase-1 (Figure 2D) and in the pro-IL1β mRNA levels (Figure 2E) in subjects with both PCOS and gingivitis, while no differences were detected in the serum IL1β levels (Figure 2G).
