NLRP3 and polycystic ovary syndrome: During the experiments described herein, we specifically observed higher levels of NLRP3, ASC, procaspase-1 and caspase-1 in the PBMCs from PCOS+ patients, suggesting once again that gingival inflammation plays a pivotal role in the process of NLRP3 complex assembly, as indicated by our correlation analyses and a multivariate regression model.
