Before pancreatic cancer development, particularly at the (IPMN) (intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm) stage, increased secretion of CXCL17 and ICAM2 (intercellular adhesion molecule 2) led to the infiltration of cDCs, followed by T-cell-mediated cytolysis of tumor cells. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL17 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
