In PCa, considerable efforts have been dedicated to engineering CAR-T cells that target prostate-specific differentiation or cancer-related antigens [16,17,19,35], such as Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) [36,37,38,39,40], Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EPCAM) [41], Prostate Stem Cell Antigen (PSCA) [42,43,44], and Six-Transmembrane Epithelial Antigen of Prostate 1 (STEAP1) [45,46,47]. The gene discussed is EPCAM; the disease is cancer.
