The results of the Cox multivariate model analysis showed that CHF (HR = 2.28; 95% CI = 1.2–4.29; p-value = 0.01) and CKD (HR = 2.19; 95% CI = 1.24–3.87; p-value = 0.007) were two independent prognostic factors for the occurrence of fatal and non-fatal unfavorable outcomes, adjusting for age, gender, serum CRP level, and ERBI on admission (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and congestive heart failure.
