NOS3 and endothelial dysfunction: Xiaoming Lian and colleagues demonstrated that the relaxin-2-induced activation of RXFP1 resulted in the endothelium- and NO-dependent relaxation of mouse mesenteric arteries via coupling with the Gi2-PI3Kγ/β-eNOS/NO pathway, and these effects might ameliorate endothelial dysfunction in pathological states such as hypertension [32].
