The ordinal logistic regression analysis found that age (OR 1.055, 95% CI: 1.027–1.084, p < 0.001), body mass index (OR 1.194, 95% CI: 1.104–1.291, p < 0.001), a high total protein to albumin ratio (OR 2.615, 95% CI: 1.234–5.540, p = 0.012) and ventilation time (OR 1.005, 95% CI: 1.001–1.008, p = 0.005) were independently associated with the severity of AKI. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and acute kidney injury.
