While the statistical power of the analysis is limited by the number of observations in each subgroup, we found that male PD donors had higher IFNγ-mediated T cell responses to PINK1 and α-syn (p = 0.01, p = 0.03, respectively; Fig. 2A, B), higher IL-5 responses to PINK1 and a trend of higher α-syn (p = 0.007 and p = 0.07; Fig. 2C, D), compared to male HCs. This evidence concerns the gene PINK1 and Parkinson disease.
