Importantly, GNB1 has emerged as a potential candidate gene associated with West syndrome, and several individuals with GNB1-E have had West syndrome or infantile spasms (Da Silva et al., 2021; Endo et al., 2020; Hemati et al., 2018a; Jones et al., 2019; Schultz-Rogers et al., 2020; Revah-Politi et al., 2020).
