Currently, four drug classes are employed for MM treatment including proteasome inhibitors (PI: bortezomib, carfilzomib, and ixazomib), immunomodulatory drugs (IMiDs: thalidomide, lenalidomide, and pomalidomide), monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), including CD38-targeted mAbs (daratumumab and isatuximab) and SLAMF7-directed immunostimulatory antibody (elotuzumab), and the selective inhibitor of nuclear export (Selinexor) (8, 9). This evidence concerns the gene CD38 and Miyoshi myopathy.
