Subtilisin, curvacin A, sakacin P and lactococcin Gb, which are lipopeptides resultant from distinct probiotic strains demonstrated a higher affinity to bind S-protein of SARS-CoV-2 and human ACE2. The amphiphilic nature of lipopeptides might act to restrain the interaction of SARS-CoV-2 with the host ACE2 competitively inhibiting its cell infection. The gene discussed is ACE2; the disease is infection.
