In contrast, no significant effect could be observed in HD patients: ROS production upon neutrophil stimulation with PMA, fMLP, or fMLP following prior TNFα stimulation was identified to be significantly decreased in 7 out of 15 datasets on HD patients, though unaltered (n = 5 datasets) or increased (n = 3 datasets) in the remaining 8 datasets. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Huntington disease.
