CD40 and colitis: Studies have shown that activation of CD40 signaling using anti‐CD40 antibody can cause colitis in T cell‐ and B‐cell‐deficient mice by increasing myeloid cell‐mediated production of IL‐23, IL‐1β, and IL‐12.[23] Our analysis detected a significant reduction in body weight (Figure S5B, Supporting Information), colon length (Figure S5C, Supporting Information) and an increased macroscopic colitis score (Figure S5D, Supporting Information) in anti‐CD40‐induced colitis mice.
