A double-blind randomized controlled trial (RCT), the first to assess the impact of green cardamom medication on the expression of obesity and diabetes genes in women with PCOS, showed that green cardamom intervention improved glucose indices, anthropometric indices, and sex hormones, and FTO, leptin receptor (LEPR), carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1 (CPT1A), and PPAR-γ genes in women with PCOS. This evidence concerns the gene PPARG and polycystic ovary syndrome.
