AIF1 and stroke disorder: Using an automated morphological analysis of Iba1+ cells in the perilesional areas [26] (Figure S3D, E), we found that microglia from neutrophil-depleted MiS stroke mice displayed significantly increased ramifications (endpoints) and process length compared to neutrophil-sufficient MiS mice, indicating a less activated microglia phenotype in the absence of neutrophils (Figure S3 F, G).
