FGF12 and Alzheimer disease: Fibroblastic growth factors (FGFs) and their receptors have been implicated in CNS development (Reuss and von Bohlen und Halbach 2003) as well as diverse neurological diseases, e.g., episodic ataxia (FGF14‐related SCA‐27B) and FGF12, which has been reported in Alzheimer's disease (AD).
