CDK4 and breast cancer: It is important to recognize that treatment paradigms for BC have evolved significantly in recent years.45-48 The introduction of new therapies, such as HER2-targeted therapies, CDK4/6 inhibitors, and PARP inhibitors, has improved outcomes, not only for HER2+ and hormone receptor+ but also for triple-negative subtypes.49-54 However, given the retrospective nature of the MSK and METABRIC data sets, our analysis may not fully capture the impact of these newer treatments on survival outcomes.
