HSP70 was then selected for further tests for the following reasons: 1) our immunoprecipitation results showed that the interaction between HSP70 and Asb10 was significantly stronger than that between HSC70 and Asb10; 2) HSP70 ranked at the top of Asb10 interactome in our immunoprecipitation-mass spectrum data (Fig. 3B); 3) HSP70 was reported to be a critical regulator of pathological cardiac hypertrophy [22, 41, 42]; 4) multiple previous publications reported the interaction between HSP70 and Asb10 in other cell types [15, 40]. The gene discussed is ASB10; the disease is cardiac hypertrophy.
