CPT1α is a key gene in fatty acid metabolism and is localized to the outer mitochondrial membrane.[31] Fatty acids are transported into the mitochondrion via CPT1α to participate in β‐oxidation in macrophages, which can inhibit atherosclerosis progression.[32] Next, we investigated whether wogonin affects the activity or expression of CPT1α in the plaque and in vitro. The gene discussed is CPT1A; the disease is atherosclerosis.
