In Huang et al. [1], our findings for the first time uncover the underlying mechanism and clinical significance of SOX6 (SRY-box transcription factor 6)-mediated autophagy in mediating the chemosensitivity of cisplatin to cervical cancer, and shed new light on the usage of MAP4K4 (mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 4) inhibitor or autophagy-specific inhibitor for sensitizing cervical cancer cells to platinum-based chemotherapy. Here, MAP4K4 is linked to cervical cancer.
