TP53 and colorectal carcinoma: Several single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been identified to modify the effect of aspirin on CRA or CRC prevention.34-42 For example, a genotype analysis of the seAFOod Polyp Prevention Trial data showed that the chemoprevention effect by aspirin was modified by the SNPs in cyclooxygenase, lipoxygenase, and TP53 Genes.42 Participants with certain SNP genotypes of these genes benefited more from aspirin use than participants with other alleles.
