In mass spectrometry analysis of TDP-43 from ALS patient samples, the phosphorylated sites (the 12 residues Ser 373, Ser 375, Ser 379, Ser 387, Ser 389, Ser 393, Ser 395, Ser 403, Ser 404, Ser 407, Ser 409 and Ser 41036,39 and also Ser 36937) are mostly in the C-terminal region and, interestingly, they are among those with highest phosphorylation rate rP in our simulations. This evidence concerns the gene TARDBP and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
