To study the effects of different doses (36, 18, 9 g/kg/d) on memory function of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) mice, the study showed, using water maze experiments, that Ficus hirta Vahl could improve memory function and peroxide damage in AD mice by reducing MDA content and increasing SOD activity in brain tissue (Feng and Li, 2015). Here, SOD1 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
