Because there were two shRNAs targeting METTL13, we analyzed shared differentially expressed genes upon treatment of the two shRNAs in AML cells and showed that METTL13-KD resulted in 252 downregulated genes and 280 upregulated genes in HL-60 cells, and 267 downregulated genes and 271 upregulated genes in K562 cells compared to their corresponding control groups (Fig. 5B). The gene discussed is METTL13; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
