CD4 and diabetic kidney disease: Studies have reported that in diabetic patients, the number of CD4+T cells is positively correlated with proteinuria [46]; in crescentic glomerulonephritis (cGN), glomerular injury depends on CD4+T cells [47], and in agreement with the related studies, the present study found that there was a significant difference between the resting CD4+ T cells on the glomeruli in the healthy group and the DKD group (p < 0.05).
