Comparatively, the tissue staining from Fig 1e and g, in contrast to LUAD (Fig 1f) and LUSC (Fig 1h), revealed that the sections of cancer tissues demonstrated more intense staining than the normal tissues (Fig 1e,g). The analysis of the CPTAC dataset, utilizing UALCAN, revealed that FUT8 expression levels were significantly increased in LUAD and LUSC compared to normal tissue (p < 0.001), and the differences were statistically significant (Fig 1c,d). The gene discussed is FUT8; the disease is cancer.
