In patients with inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis or Crohn disease), TNF inhibitors are recommended during pregnancy, with final doses administered several half-lives before the expected delivery date.22 For rheumatologic conditions, patients taking adalimumab, infliximab, and golimumab are conditionally recommended to continue use during the first half of pregnancy24 but to discontinue TNF inhibitors in the third trimester.23 This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Crohn disease.
