VEGFA and cancer: NF‐κB also promotes angiogenesis through the stimulation of the biosynthesis of pro‐inflammatory cytokines (TNF‐α, IL‐6, and IL‐1β) and chemokines (IL‐8, CCL‐2), growth factors (VEGF, bFGF), proteases (MMP‐9) or NO in a wide range of cancer and(or) immune cells, contributing to the formation of new blood vessels [17].
