Compared to non-AAA controls, immunofluorescence staining revealed significant CCR2+ cells (35% ± 3 vs. 8% ± 1, P < 0.001; Figure S6C & E, Supplementary Material) as well as CD68+ macrophages (31% ± 5 vs. 3% ± 1, P < 0.0001; Figure S6C & F) in surgical AAA specimens (Figure S6B-F). This evidence concerns the gene CCR2 and triple-A syndrome.
