This study aimed to compare inflammation (IL-6, ferritin, troponin I, CRP, LDH), hepatic (AST, ALT, GGT), renal (creatinine, GFR), and coagulation (D-dimer, fibrinogen, platelets) biomarkers between two cohorts of hospitalized patients with and without COVID-19 who experienced thromboembolic events (venous and arterial) at a tertiary medical center during the pandemic. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is COVID-19.
