Interestingly, the CBR3 rs1056892 variant was found to be more common in patients who developed a heart injury than in a control group, showing that this CBR3 gene polymorphism actually significantly increases the risk of cardiotoxicity (OR = 2.50, 95% CI 1.22–5.11, p = 0.012), as it was thought more than ten years ago by Blanco et al. mentioned above [35,36].
