Other molecular signatures that were identified were H3K27M Ki-67, a protein found in the cell nucleus that is associated with cell proliferation, widely used as a proliferation marker, as well as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), chromosomes 1p/19q co-deletions, telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT), and Alpha-Thalassemia/Mental Retardation Syndrome X-Linked (ATRX). The gene discussed is PSMB5; the disease is alpha thalassemia-X-linked intellectual disability syndrome.
