These findings are generally consistent with the meta-analysis by Wang et al. [26], wherein elevated preoperative serum CEA levels were linked to a poor OS, and the review by Trulson et al. [15], where they reported that most studies found no significant evidence supporting the prognostic relevance of CEA in patients with later-stage NSCLC. Here, CEACAM5 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
