ALKBH5 and FTO showed significantly lower expression in RCC patients with ccRCC (p < 0.001 for ALKBH5 and p < 0.05 for FTO) and chRCC (p < 0.001 for ALKBH5 and p < 0.01 for FTO) subtypes. This evidence concerns the gene FTO and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
