Patients with a poor functional outcome were characterized by being older, having a higher prevalence of diabetes mellitus and atrial fibrillation, longer puncture-to-reperfusion times, higher NIHSS scores, elevated fasting blood glucose levels, and increased inflammatory markers such as CRP, WBC, and neutrophils counts, a lower proportion of successful recanalization and END, and lower ASPECTS scores. Here, CRP is linked to diabetes mellitus.
