IFN-γ levels showed low variation, with averages of 0.591 ± 0.181 pg/mL in the alopecia areata group and 0.553 ± 0.351 pg/mL in the control group, while medians were higher in the alopecia areata group at 0.635 pg/mL vs. 0.520 pg/mL in the controls. This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and alopecia areata.
