Only two studies focusing on MTA1 in human bladder cancer are present in the literature, one considering significantly high MTA1 expression in tumor tissues as a potential target (16) and the other demonstrating MTA1-mediated apoptosis and other antitumor effects in response to the natural compound β-elemene, found in Curcuma Rhizoma (17). The gene discussed is MTA1; the disease is urinary bladder cancer.
