P2RY12 and acute myocardial infarction: A Swiss study of cancer (n = 1981) and non‐cancer patients (n = 1981) with acute myocardial infarction demonstrated that although there were no significant differences in the use of ACEI/ARB, beta‐blockers, nitrate, other antiplatelet and antithrombotic (aspirin and heparins) between the two groups, cancer patients were less likely to receive a P2Y12 inhibitor (an antiplatelet) and statins [20].
