investigated the expression levels of lncRNAs BDNF‐AS and 17A in the serum of epilepsy patients and explored their correlation with brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), phosphorylated cAMP response element‐binding protein (p‐CREB), γ‐aminobutyric acid (GABA), and glutamate, suggesting that these lncRNAs might contribute to epilepsy pathogenesis by inhibiting the GABA/p‐CREB/BDNF pathway and could serve as diagnostic markers [6]. The gene discussed is CREB1; the disease is epilepsy.
