Recent advancements in the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have been realized through the introduction of targeted therapies, such as EGFR inhibitors for EGFR-mutated NSCLC, and immunotherapies, including anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) antibodies [1–4]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
