The levels of ALT (32.3 ± 11.7 vs. 36.3 ± 12.8, P = 0.002), AST (31.9 ± 12.1 vs. 36.8 ± 13.1, P = 0.001), and ALK (164.2 ± 127.3 vs. 174.4 ± 130.2, P < 0.001) in HCV-positive patients co-infected with HPgV-1 were significantly lower compared to those without HPgV-1 infection.
