Previous studies have demonstrated elevated PIEZO1 levels in the animal models and patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM),[20] ICM,[4] and myocardial infarction (MI).[30] Consistent with these findings, our analysis of transcriptomes from ICM patients revealed significantly increased expression levels of PIEZO1 in the myocardium (Figure 1).
