KEGG pathway analysis of genes associated to peaks that present both TBX3 and β-catenin binding showed enrichment for biological processes related to regulation of cell migration and proliferation, including remodeling of actin cytoskeleton, focal adhesions, and the Hippo, Ras, and Wnt signaling pathways (Fig. 3D) [pathways were considered significant with a q-value < 0.05 after multiple testing correction (Benjamini–Hochberg FDR adjustment), displayed are the top 10 hits], raising the possibility that TBX3 is involved in the direct regulation of these groups of genes in CRC.
