Sun et al. discovered that the knockdown of ANXA5 was positively associated with the decrease in the levels of CD34 and VEGF-3, two indicators of angiogenesis, in mice transplanted with liver cancer cells where ANXA5 was knocked down, thereby inhibiting the progression and metastasis of liver cancer in vivo (Sun et al., 2018).
