Our findings are consistent with the study by Aldabah et al. The results of this study, which involved 14 patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis treated with interferon beta (IFN-β) for 6 months, demonstrate a reduction in erythrocyte vitamin E levels prior to treatment, with a subsequent return to levels comparable to the control group after 6 months of therapy. The gene discussed is IFNB1; the disease is relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.
