Differentially methylated CpGs related to NXPH4 and LBX2 have previously been described in a study that developed a placental epigenetic clock (Lee et al., 2019), whereas aberrant methylation and/or expression of NXPH4, EPS8L2, AMOTL1, IRX2, and LBX2 have also been described in multiple types of cancers (Colas et al., 2011; Huang et al., 2020; Wang and Yu, 2024; Xu et al., 2024; Zhang et al., 2024). The gene discussed is LBX2; the disease is cancer.
