APOE and Alzheimer disease: Jiao et al. (2023) developed a Random Forest regression model integrating EEG biomarkers, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers, APOE genotype, and demographic data, which outperformed traditional CSF+APOE models in predicting disease onset and progression, particularly for cognitive assessments like MMSE and MoCA. Similarly, while MRI features alone surpassed EEG in predicting AD severity, a study by Jesus et al. (2021) highlighted enhanced accuracy when combining MRI and EEG.
