The three variants observed in the recovery phase group comprised a variant in KRAS (A134T), found in low grade mucinous adenocarcinoma and brown tumour of the jaw; a variant in TP53 (P190L), found in multiple solid cancers such as those in the large intestine, oesophagus, lung and liver and haematopoietic and lymphoid cancers and a variant in JAK2 (V617F), found in myeloproliferative neoplasms. The gene discussed is KRAS; the disease is myeloproliferative disorder.
