ALB and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Similarly, in line with our findings, low albumin has been associated with an increased probability of cancer18; increased levels of alkaline phosphatase have been associated with lung, liver, colorectal, gastric and pancreas cancers21 and increased bilirubin levels have been associated with an increased probability of pancreatic cancer in some10 but not all studies22, and increased probability of liver cancer22 and a decreased probability of colorectal cancer22.
