TP53 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma: Out of 1332 samples, 932 (70%) showed TP53 mutations, which were significantly associated with both the presence of HNSCC (P = 0.0349), indicating that patients with these mutations are more likely to develop the disease, and with reduced progression-free survival (P = 0.0102), suggesting that TP53 mutations may be linked to more aggressive or treatment-resistant forms of HNSCC.
