By KEGG and GSEA analyses, the most strongly activated signaling pathway in the NID2-overexpressing glioma cells is the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, which lies at the heart of carcinogenesis and cancer progression, including promoting proliferation, resisting apoptosis, promoting EMT, angiogenesis and maintaining cancer stemness [30,31,32,33]. The gene discussed is NID2; the disease is cancer.
